「 type53(faded cotton) 」
M-65フィッシュテールパーカーのポケットの構造から着想し、芯地にウール生地を使用したシャツ。M-65フィッシュテールパーカーのポケットには、袋布の部分にウールが使われています。ヴィンテージの個体を見ると、長年の着用によりウール生地が縮み、ポケット口やフラップ周辺に小さな皺やねじれとして影響が出ています。その様子を観察し、芯地に同じような組織のウール生地を使いシャツを製作。芯地として使用したウール生地が製品加工途中で発生する熱処理により大きく縮み、表にシワを発生させています。
こちらの品番に使用したチェックネル生地は、加工ロットによって全く違う色になっています。とても良い風合いが出る加工ながら、同じ薬剤、分数、温度で加工しても気まぐれに色ブレする特殊な方法を採用。ほとんどのメーカーが使うことを諦めるなか、ISSUETHINGSではあえてこの加工を使い、集めたヴィンテージのモッズコートの年代や状態によって全く異なるユーズド感を再現。単にアーカイブをなぞるのではなく、観察・研究の末にインスピレーションとして新たなデザインに昇華。一見して元ネタがわからないような、それでいて説得力を持つ稀有なプロダクトです。ベーシックなルックスながら、スタイリングにおいてはその独自のムードが良い違和感として作用してくれます。
