MWC / Military Watch Company was founded in Zurich, Switzerland in 1974.
Wolfgang Obrigheimer, a watch dealer, founded MWC in 1974 after receiving a request to produce watches for the Rhodesian (now Zimbabwean) military.
Since then, the company has continued to supply watches to various organizations around the world, including military forces, special police units, airlines, mining companies, and others, and currently has bases in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Australia, and South Africa, making it one of the world's largest suppliers of military watches.
