Since its founding in 1797, Johnstons of Elgin has been producing products using high-quality materials. They use carefully selected natural materials such as cashmere, vicuna, merino wool, lambswool, and camel hair to offer a wide range of products, from fabrics to scarves and home furnishings. As one of the few manufacturers in the UK with an integrated production system, they handle everything from spinning raw wool to weaving and knitting in-house, and continue to produce high-quality products while inheriting skilled techniques. They first arrived in Japan in the 1980s, and their scarves in particular have been loved for many years for their sophisticated design and luxurious feel.
